Turkey to open office in Brussels to educate Europe about Islam!

Jihad Watch

And to work to dispel "Islamophobia" -- you know, the linking of Islam with terrorism. Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate did not, unfortunately, announce any plans to open offices in Riyadh, Tehran, Gaza, Kabul, Baghdad, Swat Valley, Kashmir, southern Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Nigeria, or anywhere else, to educate the Muslims there about Islam, and prevent them from linking Islam with terrorism. "New religious affirs [sic] directorate office to work to dispel misunderstanding of Islam in Europe," from Dünya Gazetesi, May 14 (thanks to Twostellas):

Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate next month will open an office in Brussels to educate Europe about Islam, in line with a decision made during Pope Benedict XVI's 2005 visit to Turkey. During the visit, it was decided that Turkey's presence in Europe proves the possibility of Islam and Christianity's peaceful coexistence. It was also concluded that Turkey, with its secular state and Muslim identity, could be a good reference for Muslims living in Europe.

What about the Christians who are actually in Turkey? Do they get to coexist peacefully also? Apparently not.

In order to block efforts to sow misunderstandings about Islam and stir up Islamophobia in the continent, the directorate decided to open a bureau in the European capital. This decision was also supported by the pope. It is hoped that the office will counter efforts to inflame Islamophobia. Work to make the idea a reality was accelerated in light of the Alliance of Civilizations project, co-chaired by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Spanish counterpart, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.

The bureau, which will work as a research center, will be opened by directorate head Ali Bardakoğlu. Its establishment has been closely followed and supported by the European Union. Primarily targeting Turks living in Europe, the office will also organize interfaith dialogue activities. Five secretaries and 30 theologians will be employed in Brussels for these purposes.

Comment: First, there is no such thing as "Islamophobia"-this is contrived by the fascist Islamists to put the politically correct people in their place. It is a tactic used time and again to supplant Islamic propaganda with our western values and we are allowing them to do so. They use our concept of "freedom of speech" against us. Let me repeat-Islamophobia does not exist-we have the right, in western societies, to question Islam, to indicate we do not support its tenets and we can do so without fear of retribution. Unless we collectively find our center, our focus on our values, we will awake one day asking"How did it come to this?" I suspect many in turkey are doing just this today. Notice the direction this subversive technique is heading?!
