Obama invited to address Muslim world from Al-Azhar

Not only have Egypt's ulema "condoned Obama's decision to visit Cairo next month and to address the Arab and Muslim world from that city," but they are inviting him to do it from Al-Azhar, the world's most authoritative Sunni institution, which, incidentally, permits suicide-bombings. "Egyptian Mufti Invites Obama to Address Muslims from Al-Azhar Mosque," from MEMRI, May 10: Egyptian Mufti Dr. 'Ali Gum'a and other Al-Azhar scholars have condoned Obama's decision to visit Cairo next month and to address the Arab and Muslim world from that city, and have invited him to give his address from the Al-Azhar mosque. Dr. Gum'a stated that this would promote a culture of dialogue between Islam and the West.
